In order to meet these demands, we’ve gladly made some adjustments in order to reduce our environmental impact.
Recycling
From a fleet of low emissions vehicles to reclaimed water, recycled materials and product innovations such as pervious concrete which assists the infiltration of water into the soil by capturing rainwater in a network of voids and allowing it to percolate into the underlying soil. In many cases, previous concrete roadways and parking lots can double as water retention structures, reducing or eliminating the need for traditional storm water management systems.

Energy Saving Efforts
In order to reduce our energy consumption, Robertson’s is beginning to implement Solar Panel Parking in our plants. In addition, the panels will provide a shaded area for drivers to park their trucks and help prevent any equipment from overheating. As a result, these progressions in the industry are expected to save over $150K on our energy bill per year for each plant equipped with these systems!
Robertson’s is also working on installing water recycling systems in our plants. Additionally, we are using windmill technologies to aid in fueling energy to our Cabazon plant. We also look to add Carbon Cure technology to our L.A. plants to help minimize our carbon footprint. We are expecting to see continuous forward movement in the coming years as we expand and learn more about upcoming technologies!
